MapAndMove.se collects open data on Sweden's counties, municipalities, towns and neighbourhoods in one place: a map with over 400 layers, a page of its own per municipality and a statistics table that compares them all at once.
The site is built for anyone considering a move who wants to know what a place is actually like before going there. Every figure carries its source and its year, and where we lack data we say so instead of guessing.
Sweden's municipalities vary enormously, from big cities with hundreds of thousands of residents to rural municipalities with a few thousand. Even so, they are often hard to compare in a simple way. We want to make it easier to:

- Find municipalities actively seeking new residents
- Understand differences in living conditions, costs and services
- Get a complete picture of a municipality before making a decision

Where the data comes from.
All statistics come from public, open sources, primarily Statistics Sweden via Kolada (the Municipality and Region Database). Every figure carries its source year, and we update when the source publishes something new, not more often: otherwise the year in the text would stop matching the number beside it.
