Sweden has plenty of open data, but it is scattered across a multitude of agencies and sources. We gather the sources, process them into our own measures and datasets and put them in the map, sortable and filterable on what matters to you. That makes it easier to evaluate, scrutinise and compare Swedish places, whatever the question, with a picture of the whole of Sweden instead of piles of loose registers. Data is for everyone.

The right area first, the property second.
We do not try to pair you with a specific home. The goal is to match you with a place. Find the area that meets your requirements, so you do not overpay for qualities you were not looking for. From all the data we process we continuously build a profile for every place in Sweden, so the choice rests on details instead of gut feeling.
Use pin mode, the filters and the map options to pinpoint the area exactly, and continue from there to Hemnet, or to a broker partner who specialises in that very area. We reverse the order: area first, property second. We also connect you with brokers, contractors, contact persons, businesses and associations in the locality, so you become part of your new home town rather than just living there.

We do this through cooperation with smaller municipalities and localities, and by drawing attention to the fine heritage we have in Sweden. As more people can work remotely, the conditions are in place. This is a popular movement to keep the countryside alive.

Mark what is missing at a place, or an idea you had along the way, and submit it as a suggestion with a coordinate and a rationale.
Measure distance and elevation difference, and draw a cross-section through the ground. Slope, bedrock, soil type and groundwater in the same cut.
Draw a boundary wherever you like and get a profile for exactly that area, instead of for the whole municipality. Can be saved and shared.
Combine layers with conditions: near a lake and under a certain plot price and within ten minutes of a school. The query can be saved and rerun.
When did the ground you live on become ice-free? Overlay the retreat of the inland ice, old shorelines and historical maps.

Collected information for tourists, labour migrants and asylum seekers: which authorities do what, where they are, which rules and rights apply at the place, SFI and language support, healthcare, public transport and associations that welcome newcomers. Sort places by elevation, slope and proximity to mountains and fells. In the 3D map you see how the terrain actually lies, with trees modelled from real tree data instead of filler.
Set a minimum distance to water, high-voltage lines, railways, busy tracks and major roads. Also choose how many neighbours you want within sight and how close the nearest may be. The map dims everything that fails your limits.
