Säffle is a town with just over 8,800 inhabitants, the seat of Säffle municipality in south-western Värmland, on Byälven, which links Glafsfjorden with Vänern, and one of the youngest cities in Sweden in the formal sense.
Most people live with a grocery shop and a school within walking distance but not close, woodland right next to them and the main road straight across from them. For many in the centre a restaurant is right next door, and a hundred or so known contaminated sites are found in the town.
A quiet centre, calm surroundings

Säffle station is on the main line, which makes commuting to Karlstad and Göteborg manageable, and by car it takes four and a half hours to Stockholm and three hours to Göteborg.
