Angered is a built-up area in Göteborg municipality in Västergötland with a little over 1,500 inhabitants. The town lies in the district of Angered in north-eastern Göteborg, but Angered Centrum is within three kilometres and sets the range: Maxi ICA, Lidl and several other grocery stores, Angereds Bibliotek, Angereds Teater, Angered Arena, health centres, a local hospital, pharmacies, clothing shops and shopping centres.
Most houses lie side by side with forest and a main road. The grocery store and the school are walking distance but not close, and fields are a couple of minutes' walk away. The nearest railway station is far away, so a car is needed for the train. Water is in Långevattnet, a way off, and Angereds stadspark and about sixty playgrounds are within reach. About ten soil contaminations are registered in the town. A vulnerable area lies within cycling distance of the middle.
To central Göteborg it takes about a quarter of an hour by car, and to Malmö three and a half hours.
