Häljarp

Häljarp lies in Landskrona municipality, east of the E6 motorway, for the most part south of Saxån and north of Saxtorpsskogen. The town is separated from Landskrona town by the E6 and the allotment area Axeltofta. Just over 4,000 people live here.

Everyday life is on a commuter village's terms. There are a couple of schools in the town, and most people live a couple of minutes' walk from one, while the grocery shop, ICA Nära Häljarpshallen, and the railway station, Häljarp's own, are within walking distance but not close. There are a couple of restaurants in the town, among them Häljarps Pizzeria, plus a hairdresser, a car workshop and a couple of preschools. A café, library and swimming pool are lacking in the town and can only be reached by car.

Nature is close. The forest lies across the road and the water a couple of minutes' walk away, with Saxtorpsskogen nature reserve within walking distance. The farmland is a couple of minutes' walk away. The main road runs close to the town, and the railway and a power line are for most people within walking distance but not close.

Landskrona can be reached in a quarter of an hour by car, Malmö in half an hour, and Göteborg takes about three hours.

In the area around, just under three in ten are under twenty. Just over half are unmarried, and married people make up just over a third. In Landskrona municipality economic vulnerability is less common in commuter villages like Häljarp than in the central parts.

Häljarp suits the family with children that wants a house of their own and nature nearby, with Landskrona and Malmö within commuting distance. Anyone who wants cafés and shops within walking distance will have to look elsewhere.
