Sövde is a town in Sjöbo municipality in Skåne and the church village of Sövde parish, with just under 350 inhabitants. The town lies at the northern end of Sövdesjön, with the churchyard on a headland out into the lake.
The lake is a couple of minutes' walk from most houses, and a bathing spot and a hiking trail lie across the road. In the town there are a church, a sports ground and Sövde amfiteater, and a petrol station is within walking distance but not close. The food shop and school are four kilometres away, the railway station fourteen, so a car is needed. Farmland is within walking distance but not close and forest across the road. Sövde also has a flying club.
Sjöbo, the municipality's main town, is just under four kilometres away, and in Sjöbo there are, among other things, about ten food shops, a cinema and Piratenmuseet. Blentarp is about as far away. To Sjöbo it takes a quarter of an hour by car, to Malmö three quarters of an hour and to Göteborg three and a half hours.
The surrounding area is older than the country: over a quarter are over sixty-five and just under a sixth are under twenty. The municipality is a distinctly rural one, where people move for the house and the quiet.
Sövde suits someone who wants to live by a lake in the Skåne countryside and drives. Anyone who wants to walk to a shop and a train should look elsewhere.

Distances are measured from the locality's centre to the nearest point in the layer, capped at 50 km. Counts are exact within the locality boundary. A layer not listed has nothing within the cap.
