But almost everyone ends up in the same place in the end: from here it is close and easy to get to Gothenburg, just over an hour away. The best thing about the place, people tend to say, is that it is easy to travel away from. For entertainment, shopping and a wider cultural scene, people drive into Gothenburg, Borås or Vårgårda. The surrounding nature is calm and accessible, with several nature reserves, a local heritage park and a couple of medieval church ruins to discover.
