The coastal stretch out towards Onsala, Särö and Vallda offers swimming, boating and nature, and the old village of Äskhult is among the better-known destinations. Median income is among the highest in the country, well above the national municipal median, and only 5 per cent of residents live with a low economic standard against 14 per cent in the country's typical municipality. That is one of the lowest shares in Sweden. Unemployment is also among the lowest nationally, and just over one in three adults has at least three years of post-secondary education. The most telling thing is the evenness. Incomes are highest in Onsala and lowest in Frillesås, but even the municipality's economically weakest sub-area lies far above what is typical for a Swedish municipality.
