Eating out is surprisingly broad for the size of the place, with around twenty restaurants and eateries, several of them by the harbour and at Bjärreds saltsjöbad, plus a fish shack and a vineyard inland. Nature is close and attractive, with the Lommabukten nature reserve, the expansive Alnarp park and a long list of smaller parks and bathing spots. For anyone who wants to be active there are plenty of gyms, sports halls and outdoor activities. Median income is among the very highest in the country, almost SEK 130,000 above the national municipal median, and the share living on a tight budget is among the lowest in the whole country. Just over half of residents have at least three years of higher education, which places Lomma in the absolute top tier, and unemployment is clearly below the national average. That employment among young adults is at the same time low should probably be read as the age groups being in education, with the university in the neighbouring city, rather than as exclusion."},{"type":"p","text":"The differences within the municipality are only a matter of shades of prosperity. Bjärred is at the top, with genuinely high incomes and a very high education level, while central Lomma sits somewhat lower but still far above the national average. There is, in effect, no poor side of Lomma. Safety is straightforward. The number of reported crimes per resident is clearly below the national level, and the police do not point to any police-designated vulnerable areas.
