Median income of just over SEK 400,000 is among the highest in the country, clearly above the national average, and only eight per cent live with low financial standing against fourteen nationally. The education level is well above average, and unemployment is roughly the same as in the country as a whole. Safety looks good on paper. In the winter of 2025 the town was shaken by a high-profile death in which a young woman was murdered, an event that in such a small municipality touched an unusually large number of people.
