The Roslagsbanan takes about half an hour to Stockholms östra and around three-quarters of an hour to T-Centralen, and anyone living near a station describes the journey as smooth. The catch is that most people do not live by the station, and with bus transfers the journey becomes both longer and less reliable. The line has also been upgraded to double track in stages, which has closed sections for months at a time with replacement buses as a result. On heavy snow days things go wrong.
